ASSESSMENT

 

  • Speech and language skills are assessed by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist in order to determine the extent of a potential communication difficulty.
  • Assessment procedures include the use of formal tests, as well as, informal observations and parent interviews.
  • Formal assessment and progress reports are available upon request for a fee.

TREATMENT

 

  • Treatment sessions are provided on an individual, as well as, a small group basis for children aged from birth to 18 years old.
  • Family members and caregivers are an important part of the therapeutic process and are encouraged to attend each session with the client.  Home programming and follow up activities are provided at the end of each session.
  • A variety of skills may be targeted during each session based on abilities and areas of need.

CONSULTATION

 

  • Consultation services can be provided to school personnel, caregivers, and other communication partners involved in the client's everyday life.
